Large dogs have unique needs that deserve thoughtful care. Because of their size, many large breeds are more prone to orthopedic issues, have shorter average lifespans, and require diets tailored to support joint health, weight management, and overall mobility.
Big dogs are also often misunderstood. They’re frequently labeled as aggressive, uncontrollable, or harder to train, yet research show that large breeds are no more aggressive than small breeds. In fact, many small breeds are known to be just as challenging, if not more so, when it comes to training.
With proper training, socialization, and care, big dogs are loyal, intelligent, and loving companions.
